PITTSBURGH, Nov. 8, 2021 — Wabtec (NYSE: WAB) signed today contracts with Egyptian National Railways (ENR) to supply 100 ES30ACi Evolution Series Locomotives, as well as a multi-year service agreement to maintain the fleet. The agreement supports ENR’s continued modernization effort by providing the latest, fuel-efficient locomotives needed for the growing demands on Egypt’s rail infrastructure. The locomotive supply contract is funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The contract includes the latest brakes, passenger access doors, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and event recorder solutions for 200 new rail cars.

BENGALURU, October 13, 2021 – Wabtec Corporation (NYSE: WAB), a leading technology supplier for the freight and transit rail industries, inaugurated today a world-class global engineering lab in Bengaluru, India to enable rail component design and performance. The new facility is Wabtec’s largest lab in India and adds to the company’s growing engineering presence in the country.

This includes 29 stations and 62 platforms, each of which will be equipped with 12 sets of 1.7 m-high platform gates, emergency egress doors and fixed screens. The project provides a complete solution comprised of reinforcement of the platform edge to design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the platform gates
