PITTSBURGH, December 6, 2022 -- Wabtec Corporation’s (NYSE: WAB) DistanceMaster solution took a major step toward improving braking performance for transit rail operators with the certification of the company’s adaptive wheel slide protection (WSP) technology. The solution addresses the wheel and rail adhesion bottleneck enabling transit systems to improve efficiency and increase network capacity.

Wabtec Corporation has signed a contract with Akiem, a leading European rolling stock leasing company, to provide maintenance of critical equipment for locomotive fleets in Europe. The major agreement, which runs for the next five years, covers brake components, pantographs and HVAC for the company’s PRIMA and TRAXX fleets in France and Germany and is intended to maximize asset availability to the operator’s customers.

PITTSBURGH, November 25, 2021 -- Wabtec Corporation (NYSE: WAB) announced today it will supply SNCF, the French national railway company, with Cold Movement Detection (CMD) technology for the operator’s latest generation of high-speed trains. The technology is an important component of the onboard European Train Control System (ETCS), promoted by the European Commission to enable interoperability across the European Union.

PITTSBURGH October 21, 2021 - Wabtec Corporation (NYSE: WAB) announced today an order to improve passenger experience, reliability, and safety for Metra, the commuter rail system in the Chicago metropolitan area serving the city of Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. The contract includes the latest brakes, passenger access doors, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and event recorder solutions for 200 new rail cars.

Wabtec, along with Eiffage Genie Civil Méditerranée and Eiffage Energie Systems Mediterranee, will supply Metropole Aix Marseille Provence with all the platform gates for lines 1 and 2 of Marseille NEOMMA, that are being automated. This includes 29 stations and 62 platforms, each of which will be equipped with 12 sets of 1.7 m-high platform gates, emergency egress doors and fixed screens. The project provides a complete solution comprised of reinforcement of the platform edge to design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the platform gates

Wabtec Corporation (NYSE: WAB) announced today it will support the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transport Systems (RRTS) with critical component orders valued at about $15 million for new rolling stock. The company will supply advanced technology brake systems, pantographs, roof disconnector switches and fully integrated passenger information systems to Alstom, which is building the coaches for the project.

Wabtec Corporation (NYSE: WAB) secured an order to supply Siemens Mobility with several products for the London Underground’s Piccadilly Upgrade Program. The deal, valued at more than $70 million, is for brakes, air conditioning and ventilation (HVAC), passenger information systems, and third-rail current collectors.
