PITTSBURGH, April 17, 2024 – Wabtec Corporation (NYSE: WAB) announced today a digital solutions agreement with Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC). The two companies will collaborate on developing one of the few approaches being considered to address interoperability of rail systems in Australia.

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 13, 2024 — Wabtec Corp. (NYSE: WAB) and CSX Corp. (NASDAQ: CSX) signed a deal for over 200 locomotive modernizations featuring a suite of digital solutions, innovations, and services. The agreement will transform the remaining AC4400 locomotives in CSX’s fleet providing improved fuel efficiency, reliability, utilization, and tractive effort.

PITTSBURGH, January 17, 2024 – Wabtec’s (NYSE: WAB) Trip Optimizer surpassed a major milestone as railroads used the energy-management software to efficiently operate their trains for more than 1 billion auto miles, the equivalent of more than 40,000 trips around the Earth. The 12,000 locomotives worldwide using the Trip Optimizer system accounted for significant reductions in fuel consumption and emissions for the rail industry.

PITTSBURGH, December 14, 2023 – Wabtec (NYSE: WAB) announced today its entrance into the railcar telematics market via an agreement with Intermodal Telematics B.V. (“IMT”), a Dutch company, under which Wabtec will create a railcar telematics platform using IMT technology. Wabtec’s new railcar telematics platform will deliver real-time information to railcar and tank container owners and operators, allowing them to turn rail cargo into smart, connected assets.

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 20, 2022 — Wabtec (NYSE: WAB) and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) signed a historic memorandum of understanding (MOU) for 150 FLXdriveTM battery-electric shunters and modernization work to transform the mainline fleet into NextFuelTM liquid natural gas-powered (LNG) locomotives. The investment marks the largest sustainable technology agreement by the CIS railroad, and will further revolutionize KTZ’s mainline and yard operations, while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and operating costs.

Wabtec Corporation has acquired Collins Aerospace’s ARINC rail solutions business segment, a provider of intelligence-based rail dispatch and back office solutions. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Wabtec has launched its new Precision Dispatch System (PDS) with an order from CN. The Precision Dispatch deal marks a major step toward network automation for CN and the entire rail industry.

Wabtec Corporation announced today the company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Trimble’s Beena Vision business, a manufacturer of machine vision-based wayside inspection systems for the railroad industry. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and financial terms were not disclosed.

Wabtec Corporation has been awarded a contract from Central Organisation For Modernisation Of Workshops (COFMOW), Indian Railways for its Online Monitoring of Rolling Stock (OMRS) project. The new automated OMRS system is part of Indian Railways’ “SMART Yard” initiative and will improve the availability of the railway’s fleet of coaches, wagons, and locomotives by detecting and addressing defects, preventing in-service failures.

Itus Digital and Wabtec today announced a partnership to deliver Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions to the mining industry. The solution combines Itus's APM platform with Wabtec's mining equipment expertise and enables mining organizations to deliver predictable production, optimize maintenance activities and reduce operational risk.

PITTSBURGH October 21, 2021 - Wabtec Corporation (NYSE: WAB) announced today an order to improve passenger experience, reliability, and safety for Metra, the commuter rail system in the Chicago metropolitan area serving the city of Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. The contract includes the latest brakes, passenger access doors, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and event recorder solutions for 200 new rail cars.
