Wabtec's SAC-1™ Spherical Articulated Connector is a semi-permanent connection coupling system featuring a low-maintenance, self-lubricating design. It maintains a slack-free connection and eliminates the need to stop cars for lubrication and side bearing height adjustments.

- Vertical travel of +/- 11° eliminates uncoupling and recoupling during wheel change outs and maintenance
- Horizontal travel of +/- 22° • +/- 13° Roll
- Designed and tested to 1.25 million lbs. buff force and 630,000 lbs. of draft force
