SafeSet 419 Series: Wheel Style Locomotive Parking Brake
The design of the 419 Series of SafeSet Wheel Style Locomotive Parking Brakes builds on the successful foundation of the 393 Series Lever Style.
- Offered for customers requiring a wheel vs. a lever for the backup interface
- Provides greater vertical chain forces
- Can be equipped with an ouput force limiting mechanism

- Vertical Chain Force: 6,300 lbf and 9,200 lbf are offered as standards. (force can be adjusted to meet other customer requirements)
- Chain Take-Up Range: Unlimited
- Operating Voltage Range: 48 to 85 VDC
- Nominal Run Current: 3 Amps at 74 VDC
- Idle Current: .04 Amps at 74 VDC
- Max Inrush Current: 50 Amps at 74 VDC for 100 ms
- Temperature Range: -40 to 131 deg. F. ( -40 to 60 deg. C.)
- Chain Take-Up Rate - Automatic Mode: 3.3 ft/min
